Mummy And I At Christmas

When I woke up, I yawned. “OMG IT’S CHRISTMAS!!! I raced into the lounge. YAY!!!

“Bazil, come here I got you a present.” I yelled loudly. Bazil is a dog. “Bazil, you silly billy”. I called trying to calm down. Bazil’s face was in the cat door. I then noticed something. There were muddy reindeer paw prints on the white kitchen floor. “Santa came!” Racing into the lounge I saw my yummy cookies and cold milk were gone. “WOW.”I saw our presents on the couch. I was breathless. I let Bazil in when I wasn't allowed. “Here you go, Bazil. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!”

Wildy running, I came to a stop. I soundlessly opened the door and Mummy was sleeping. I had an idea…………… Bazil and I sneaked carefully into Mummy’s room then I crawled onto her bed. I started jumping and screaming. I shouted, “ Mummy wake up.” Mummy then saw Bazil inside doing something naughty. He did an accident on Mummy’s bed. “What is Bazil doing inside!!!!!!” I politely answered. “ We are trying to wake you up!!!!!!  “I will go into the lounge soon.” “Okay, Mummy, “I will be watching TV.” “I will take Bazil outside and I will clean up your smelly bed. Mummy growled at poor Bazil and she said “TAKE HIM OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW.” She yelled loudly. “Mummy it was my fault. you should be growling me.” “I apologise Mummy.” “ Just watch TV would ya.” Mummy was just taking a shower. I raced out of Mummys room and tiptoed into the lounge. I got the remote and turned on the TV. “Nothing to watch.”

Little Red Riding Hood

We have been learning to use present participles in our writing.

Skipping through a creepy dark forest, Little Red Riding Hood was going to her grandmother’s house. She was dropping off some goodies for her grandmother who was very ill.

Lurking through the bushes, Little Red Riding Hood was frightened because someone was there. “Ummm, who's there?” she called. Something very tall was looking at her. That something had red eyes. 
“Who’s there? Stop staring at me,” cried Little Red Riding Hood. 
The thing disappeared. 
Skipping along the path, she heard a tree whisper to her. It sounded like the tree whispered, “Danger will be upon you.” 
A tree shook. The thing came back to haunt her. Suddenly, a wolf appeared. 
“Please don't hurt me. 
“Hello,” the wolf said in a deep voice. 
“Hello.” 
“Where are you going?” 
"I’m going to my grandmother’s house on top of that hill." 
“Okay, now bye bye.” 
When Little Red Riding Hood knocked on the door at her grandmother’s house, her grandmother’s voice sounded deep. “Come in dear.’’ 
When Little Red Riding Hood came in, she realized that it was the wolf. “Get out! Where is my grandmother?” 
“I’m going to eat you,” said the wolf.  
Little Red Riding Hood opened the closet door and found her grandmother all tied up. “Little Red Riding Hood,” said her grandmother. 
A man came in and broke the door. The man killed the wolf. They lived happily ever after.

Sports Day

We have been learning to use present participles in our writing.
When our whole school got to Patterson Park, we all needed to go on the full courts and listen to the instructions. After the instructions, I was preparing for the exciting netball game. In my team, the players were Kruz, Lavinia, Piper, Bella, Makayla, Sabriye, Olivia and I.

The loud horn blew so loudly my head was going to explode. Lining up on the court, we waited patiently until the netball players got off the court. We were versing Waipa. I  was goal attack. My partner was Bethany. Luckily, I knew who she was. The not-so-loud whistle blew. Piper was centre.

“Piper, pass it here.” I called.

Piper spun it to me. I effortlessly passed it to Sabriye. She was goal shoot. I ran into the circle like lightning and Sabriye passed it back. Trying to throw the ball into the air into the ring, I missed.

“Oh, no!” I cried.

Waipa was throwing the ball. When Waipa threw the ball to a player, I ran up and I caught it. Jumping into the air, Makayla caught the ball. She passed it to Lavinia.

“Lavinia, pass it to me,” I called. I caught the ball and passed it to Sabriye. Sabriye chucked it into the goal. But………… It bounced off the side of ring.

“Danget.” I said.

The game ended. I was huffing and puffing.

A Magic Morning

We have been learning to use personification in our writing. 
Jed my dog woke me up. It was a cold and dark morning. I was seeing if Mummy and Daddy weren't awake. No one was awake. It was Mummy’s day off. I wanted to go play in the frosty snow. I think Elsa came and made the snow.

I looked out my window and saw shimmering snowflakes sprinkling in the sky slowly. I had to wipe the ice off my window. I vanished into the kitchen. Something strange was going on. My cat, Sooty, was sleeping on the table and……………. There was another cat in the house. I was shocked. It was the next door neighbour's cat. Sooty wouldn’t like that. I ran to the door and opened it, then I chased the cat everywhere until it went out of the door. “That was fun,” I said to myself. 
Sooty woke up. “Good morning Sooty,” I said. Sooty said good morning back to me. He meows when he says good morning.
I ran into Mummy and Daddy’s room to see if  I could go outside. Mummy said only if I got into a nice winter jacket. I ran like lightning.

Winter

It was an icy peaceful morning. I saw heaps of sparkling snowflakes shimmering in the sky. I saw a lonely tree iced like crystal icicles. I was building a snowman and having a snow fight with my  sister and brother.

Splish! Splash! The shooting rain splashed into the crystal water. The pale yellow petals drifted down river. The green leaf umbrella boat journeyed down the peaceful stream. A frog was holding a bamboo while he was going down the dark glistening pond. 

Swimming sports day.

when it was swimming sports day I was excited.When we walked down to the pools me and Morgan were chatting about a pretend  TR ex behind us.When we got to the pools we got changed as fast as we could. Then we had to sit in our house groups.The water was shining like diamonds. In fact it looked like glitter on diamonds. It was reflecting From the burning hot shining sun. It was so hot I thought I was going to melt like delicious ice cream. I had to swim in the little pool doing free style. When I got in the pool it was as freezing as a freezer. When Mr k said go I swam as fast as I could but I came second. Then I had to get out of the pool. When I got out I was soaking wet like soda. Even I wanted a soda.After I was bored. But then I asked Morgan if she wanted to sit with me in sit Anthony.She said okay. Later on my mum came when I didn't know because I went to go to the girls bathroom. Then I ran out of the girls bathroom to see mummy. I thought Dad was coming but Mum did. When Morgan sat with me we were being silly. Morgan made me laugh so hard my tummy started hurting. She tryed to tickle me but I ran away from her. We thought the sausages were ready so we lined up and Miss Whitfield and she said the sausages are going to be ready at 12pm.

Chinese New Year.

China invented fireworks.
China has millions and millions of people.
Little boys and girls get red envelopes with money inside each year.
Chinese people have a festival each year to celebrate New Years. 
The fireworks are golden and I think they're very very shiny.
When they have the festival, Chinese woman wear red clothes and dance in the middle of the streets. At night, they light lanterns. The lanterns slowly float up in the sky. I think they will look  beautiful in the sky.
The Chines invented tangrams. Tangrams are 7 shapes formed into an object. Some of the boys and girls in my class made tangrams.

Swiming Day.

When it was swiming day I learned how to do back stroke with a board and with out a board. The water was so freezing it was as cold as a freezer. It was fun learning how to do back stroke. When I was next in line I wasen't really shore if I could do back stroke by myself or with a person that would help me. When it was the next round doing back stroke I got the hang of it. And then we had to put our hands up like a rocket. Then we had to kick off to the other side of the pool.And back to the other side. We had to be put  in numbers to 1 to 4. I was number 2.I dont like swiming in ice cold water only in warm water.

First Day Jitters.

Today is the first day of school in 2015. I am in Room 4. I am in Year 4. This morning I was nervous because I never knew what it would feel like in Room 4.
